The renovation of this Victorian Townhouse located in Fulham’s Peterborough Estate involved new side and mansard extensions as well as a lowering of the existaing basement, creating a spacious and contemporary home. The internal layout has been fully reconfigured to suit the needs and requirements of modern family living.
The entrance hallway has been enlarged to receive a new bespoke timber staircase with a continuous handrail, connecting all floors. The glazed metal partition towards the reception room allows for natural light to flood into the hallway, giving a modern touch to the Victorian house. The unique and elegant design of the kitchen has been achieved through a fully glazed side extension with large format glazed windows creating a natural flow between indoor and outdoor spaces.
The master en-suite is layered with varying patterns of Calacatta marble, which brings elegance and visual interest. Light bronze sanitary fittings contrast and complement the stone. Internal doors and joinery are finished in a deep dark brown veneer that complements the bespoke furnishings. The subtle colour palette and use of green helps to tie in the overall look and feel of the property from the front door to the rear green wall in the back garden.
