Studio Jo Cowen are proud to have completed this ambitious and stylish project on the Alphabet Streets of Fulham. The radical internal remodelling and full subterranean excavation boasts an impressive 5,000sqft of living space spanning across four floors.

The tapering end of terrace plot offers a unique opportunity for generous rear and side extensions to its perimeter whilst allowing large light wells to be formed around the front and side bay windows to flood basement rooms with natural light.

This enormous build included re-levelling the split-level floors throughout the house to create a seamless transition from open plan living spaces to the garden and pergola beyond. The interior is finished with a palette of light oak flooring and neutral tones to enhance the bright feel and clean aesthetic; with darker features and glazed screens to frame the muted space. A sculptural staircase adds an element of interest and continuity throughout the house.

The deep grey tones run throughout this project from the finish of the kitchen cabinetry to the internal doors. Bespoke detailing to the internal doors complements the more contemporary elements in the project. Contrast of certain tones was key to the success of this project.
