The brief was to deliver a sensitive restoration and conversion of the three separate Victorian buildings – the Bake House, the Lodge House and the Coach House – to deliver a modern residential development. This also required the extensive re-working of circulation and focus on light and amenity for the deep floorplates.

Our design transformed the neglected delivered a contemporary and distinctive living environment that celebrates the history of the original buildings. Studio Jo Cowen’s design blends the old and new with carefully selected and positioned materials used to draw attention to the detail and craftsmanship of the original building.

Studio Jo Cowen was also appointed as Interior Architects for the scheme.

The unique residential units each set a benchmark for 21^st century living, recognised with an AJ Retrofit Award.
