Located in the heart of Kensington’s Edwardes Square, Scarsdale and Abingdon Conservation Area, this unique family home has been designed to reflect the character and personality of our client, with an emphasis on curves, soft playful palettes and a medley of contemporary meets tradition.
The scope of works consisted of a full demolition with façade retention allowing us to reconfigure the internal spaces, opening up opportunities to play with proportions and shape, culminating with the twin curved columns which peel away the inviting, warm living space at ground floor.
A beautiful bespoke glazed extension with curved glazing beads sits nestled through a pink faux Venetian plastered archway and offers a view of the French 18th century stone fireplace firmly situated in the centre of the renovated garden.
At lower ground floor a generous Scandinavian inspired kitchen greets you as you descend the solid oak staircase, with a pair of pocket doors revealing a dining room fully wrapped in a grasscloth wallpaper depicting a mid-17th Century Antwerpian tapestry. An oval coffered ceiling with decorative botanical plasterwork is the final touch to the impressive entertainment space.
